Holly had a great weekend and had a great start to the year. well done Holly from us all at the factory. Another NS Board rider in first place again.
So far so good, I'v been in Australia for 2 weeks and surfed snapper, kirra,d bah, lennox heads and south stradbrook island. The swells havent been pumping but the water is warm and the sun is out. Last time i was here in 2005 there was the superbank at coolangatta, now they have stopped pumping the sand there is more of a mellow wave there, not as perfect as it used to be which is a shame but on the bright side my 5'8 fish is going completely insane out there and its definately good to be linking more than 2 turns together like i would be at home in a 5mm wetty at fistral. so its all smiles from oz, I'm travelling south for a few days to surf a place called yamba its going to be epic yeeew! more barrels please :) here’s a screen shot from the go pro hd head cam from the inside of a kirra barrel! footage to come soon. Cheers Tim
Jannick testing out his new Boards from NS. Looks pretty happy to me. Jannick is the Dutch surf champion and we are looking forward to working with him in the future and getting his boards really wired for him.
Sam Harewood got a really good second in the Jesus Classic at Bude last weekend with Taz Knight getting a good Third place.
Just about to head off to Domburg with a van full of 26 boards for the shop and 6 boards available to test on the beach in Holland. They are having their annual Classic contest on 4-6th September… so if you happen to be around come on down. I’ll be there to say hi and talk about the designs.
Tom’s new board with some very subtle changes and with carbon on the tail. 5’11’’ x 18 1/8’’ x 2 1/8’’
Tas on a training trip to Portugal on his 5’2’’ gun its 5’2’’ x 16 1/2’’ x 2’’ looks like he is liking it lots.
NS junior team rider Tom Good (age 15) placed 3rd Under 16 at the Saltrock UK pro tour held at Croyde over the bank holiday weekend. The final was very close & held in good high tide conditions.
This makes his seventh consecutive final on the UK pro tour over the last two seasons, & gained him a solid ranking to kickstart the 2009 tour.
Tom rode his NS 5'10" F16 http://www.nsboards.co.uk/ns/F16_sb001.aspx with FCS M3 fins & consistently scored double figure combination scores in all heats.
Tom would like to congratulate NS team mate Lewis Clinton on his big win in the Pro junior division.

Accompanied by great weather and large crowds the best of the future British talent was on display for day one of the The Saltrock Open and they didn’t disappoint.
The UK Pro surf tour got off to a flying start with great weather and good surf conditions. Starting the day with a small but clean 1-2ft the waves built to a solid 3-4ft by the afternoon. Spectacular surfing from Lewis Clinton from Newquay helped him clinch the pro junior final. 2nd was Luis Eyre followed closely by Jayce Robinson and Toby Donachie.

Tas scored his first contest win of the season this weekend at Croyde- the Al Rannochan memorial u-14s. Chunky swell and light westerly winds made it a challenge for the grommies, but he's been using the rips there to get out in the big stuff all winter...and so he managed to scrabble out on the 5'2 & took off on a bomb in the final. It was enough for the judges. Apart from the trophy he gets a wildcard into the forthcoming Analog call-up event planned for Croyde when swell conditions dictate... it's not running unless theres proper swell...should be interesting.
Nice one Tas.
